Reporter: I have a question to Robert and to Scarlett. Firstly to Robert, throughout Iron Man 1 and 2, Tony Stark started off as a very egotistical character but learns how to fight as a team. And so how did you approach this role, bearing in mind that kind of maturity as a human being when it comes to the Tony Stark character, and did you learn anything throughout the three movies that you made?
And to Scarlett, to get into shape for Black Widow did you have anything special to do in terms of the diet, like did you have to eat any specific food, or that sort of thing?
Scarlett: How come you get the really interesting existential question, and I get the like, “rabbit food” question?
The respect given to you if you’re a man in the entertainment business, and the respect given to you if you’re a woman in the entertainment business: all perfectly summed up in one idiotically thought out line of questioning.
Well-known Youtuber Sarah Sterling (username imSarahSnitch, also known as the girlfriend of Alex Carpenter) was filmed against her will at a mall in an impromptu “beauty contest” where a dad trying to make his kid famous on Youtube had his son choose which of her group of friends was prettiest. Click to hear Sarah’s story.
Obviously this is SO WRONG on several levels - first of all, recording people against their will, and second of all, teaching your seven-year-old that judging and objectifying women is okay.
When Sarah commented on the video saying, “Look how happy we are being judged,” the father responded with a nasty comment saying that they’re trying to get the kid famous and if she wants to fight a moral battle, she should go after drugs or gambling. The comment has too many “dislikes” on the video to be viewed anymore, but it’s shown in Sarah’s video.
Good job to this asshole for offending an ACTUAL Youtube star in an attempt to make his son one. I hope he’s enjoying all the hate mail from Sarah’s fans.
